The tone for this story is what makes this story one of a kind. the tone makes you think about the story from the author's perspective and from his experience.  The characters also seemed more real in a sense because of the tone and the feeling it came with it. The plot was so real in the way that I felt like the character and I was terrified of what was going to happen once the cop pulled up.

Having conversations with people can help you learn and see different perspectives that maybe you would have never thought of. One thing I learned during my conversation is that we interpret our definitions very differently, He uses the regular definitions straight out of a dictionary while I use my own definitions that help me remember it better. The second thing I learned was that we format things different to help us learn better. I use a normal format because it's comfortable and simple. He uses a more spaced out format so he doesn't get confused with all the words being bunched up.

Richard Cory is a fairly easy poem which makes it even easier to memorize. The method I used to memorize the poem was by just reading it in section. So every time I learned one section I would go on and try to learn another small section until I got it all

My first impression of the poem a dream within a dream was confusion. It reminded me of the journal topic of that day. The poem was mysterious in some ways because in a way everything that it said seemed real but it wasn't. The poem left me wondering and wanting to find a deeper meaning to it.
